Meet Zaheen: Inspiring, Motivating and Thought-Provoking

To meet Zaheen and hear her speak, you see a woman of assurance, courage and confidence. You would presume that achieving success was an easy road for her, but in reality, nothing could be further from the truth.

Born in Kenya, Zaheen had a good childhood up until the age of 6, when she was made to skip grade 2 and enter a pilot project for smart kids. At this point in her life, everything changed. After being mercilessly bullied for several years, she developed a severe speech impediment, and couldn’t even say her own name without stuttering.

Zaheen Quotes 1

At the age of 15 her parents sent her off to Canada in order to take advantage of better educational opportunities. To be torn away from her parents with such a debilitating speech impediment was a harrowing experience which caused Zaheen to lose all confidence in herself and, not surprisingly, turn to food for comfort.

Zaheen slowly began her transformation of overcoming her speech impediment. She underwent speech therapy, and completed her education in Nutrition & Food Science and Environmental Health.

But Zaheen was once again faced with adversity when she was diagnosed with breast cancer at the age of 41. (Read more about her battle with breast cancer here.) As a breast cancer survivor, Zaheen has had more than her fair share of hardship, and is well qualified to talk about resilience.

And talk is what she does! Zaheen is now a sought-after transformational speaker. Her own experiences have inspired her to share her system of success and transformation, a hybrid of science and technique called the RESILIENCE REFLEX™ where she teaches her clients and audiences how to easily embrace change and bounce back so that resilience becomes a first reflex.

Zaheen is also the author of more than one award-winning book. Her book about behavior weight loss, “Attract Your Ideal Weight,” won a bronze medal at the Global E-book Awards and was featured in the top 10 in Women Business Owners Today E-zine. “The Resilience Reflex” became an international best-seller on Amazon Kindle in 4 categories.

Zaheen Nanji is such a dynamic, engaging speaker that we felt very lucky to have her present virtually at SAP's People Weeks 2017 Program. Her keynote "Resilience Reflex: Shifting From Chaos to Control" was rated 4.5 out of 5 by participants. The material was really relevant to our focus area of well-being as it provided a clear tool for developing a victor mindset, embracing change, and releasing old patterns. Thank you, Zaheen, for a memorable presentation!"

Julianna Lee, SAP America

I had the pleasure of taking one of Zaheen's Law of Attraction courses and was very impressed by her knowledge of the subject and her excellence in the delivery of the material. But most of all, I found that she was able to engage her audience in a way that made it seem like she was speaking directly to each individual. Zaheen has great presence at the front of the room and her easy personality is perfect for the material she teaches. If you have an opportunity to attend one of her courses, you won't be disappointed.

Zaheen is an absolutely remarkable and authentic speaker. Her warm, charming and interactive style coupled with her knowledge on behaviour change and motivation kept the audience wanting more! Zaheen spoke at a women's event that I helped organize and every attendee was inspired and gained multiple tools to unlock the power within.

Azmina Walji, Executive Administrator at Alberta Human Services

Our organization is going through a reflective period in which change is part of the process. Zaheen captured the meaning of change and the opportunities it can bring. An example of the impact her words had on our members was the use of her catch phrases later. A number of delegates quoted Zaheen, demonstrating the success of her presentation. She made a difference.

Garnet Roth, Elks of Canada

I had the pleasure of hearing Zaheen deliver a keynote address to a group of government lawyers. Her tips to build resilience were easy to understand and inspiring. Very relevant tools to learn during times of change.
